The Hushamu porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum deposit is located 27 km west of the Island Copper deposit in northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, (#Location: 50° 40' 31" N 127° 51' 29" W).

The deposit lies within the northwest trending Lower Jurassic Bonanza Group volcanics and sediments, and Upper Triassic Vancouver Group Karmutsen Formation volcanics and Quatsino Formation limestone, all of which have been intruded by stocks of the Early-Middle Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite.

Within the deposit area, quartz monzonite stocks and dykes of dioritic rocks intrude andesitic breccia, tuff, lapilli tuff and flows of the Bonanza Group.

Areas of intense silicification of the volcanics, accompanied by pyrite, pyrophyllite, clays and sericite are interpreted to represent explosive volcanic centres and are surrounded by argillic and sericitic alteration. These in turn are surrounded by propylitic chlorite, epidote, clays and minor sericitealteration.

The dominant sulphide is pyrite, which may represent up to 25% of the rock in areas of intense silicification, while chalcopyrite has been found associated with one of the centres.

Proven and probable reserves are 173 Mt @ 0.28% Cu, 0.34 g/t Au, 0.009% Mo.
