The Blende carbonate hosted Zn-Pb-Ag deposit is located in north-central Yukon Territory, Canada, some 60 km north-east of Keno City.

Mineralisation is spatially associated with a Mesoproterozoic fault system cutting the Mesoproterozoic upper Gillespie Lake Group, part of the Wernecke Supergroup shelf assemblage.   The Gillespie Lake Group is composed of a lower sequence of brown to dark grey dolomite and orange weathering dolosiltite.   The finer grained beds are generally graphitic and contain blebs of pyrite.   This unit gradationally overlies the metamorphosed monotonous succession of dark grey siltstone, mudstone and fine grained sandstone of the Quartet Group.   The Upper Gillespie Lake Group is characterised by the appearance of stromatolitic carbonate, mostly at the top of cyclical shallowing upward carbonate sedimentary sequences.   These are in turn overlain by dark grey siltstone and shale with sandstone and carbonate interbeds that comprise the Pinguicula Group.

Mineralisation takes the form of a largely stratabound, carbonate hosted, zinc-lead deposit.   It is predominantly epigenetic with sphalerite and galena, lesser pyrite and chalcopyrite and traces of friebergite in quartz-carbonate veins and veinlets.   The veins are zoned from copper-silver rich sections at the base through lead and zinc to zinc dominated at the top.   Ore is controlled by both structure and stratigraphy, with many of the stromatolite beds being mineralised and richest in lead and zinc adjacent to faults.

Reserves in 1995 amounted to 20 Mt @ 6% Pb+Zn.
