Early next morning the group went underground at the Perseverance komatiite hosted nickel sulphide mine at Leinster, before also studying drill core. Then after a quick lunch, the group flew on to the large, low grade Mount Keith open pit nickel sulphide mine for another comprehensive visit, before departing by air charter in the late afternoon to arrive back in Perth that evening.
Next morning, those who had finished their tour at the end of Module 1A departed to return home, while the ongoing members of the tour group flew to Sydney on the other side of the continent to meet up with new starters that were to form the Module 1B group early next morning, Sunday 28 May.
