Drill core at Mufulira, Zambia  -   After lunch, the group spent much of the afternoon studying core from a selection of drill holes cutting the host sequence and the different ore zones. Experienced Mopani Copper Mines geologists were on hand to explain and discuss the ore and its relationship to lithology, structure and alteration. Discussion continued at length until the group had to move on to the discovery outcrop area, before saying their thanks for a very interesting and revealing day, and setting out with the aim of returning to Chingola before sunset.
