[Hillside presentations]
Hillside core and field exposure. Following the presentations, the group were shown core from a selection of representative drill holes through different parts of the ore system at Hillside. The core display was supported by geophysical images showing the drill hole locations, cross sections, drill logs and assay sheets, while Exploration Manager, Marc Twining (second from right, centre image) and his staff led the group through the drill holes. They subsequently had the opportunity to visit a costean adjacent to the old Hillside shaft where a narrow extension of the ore system is exposed. This is the only exposure in the deposit area. In the late afternoon, the group made their farewells and departed by charter bus for the 3 hour drive north to Port Augusta, arriving before sundown in the early evening. It had been a long, but professional rewarding day.   Photographs by Mike Porter.
