Off-highway charter bus.   The transfers from Port Augusta to Carrapateena on the early morning of Thursday 21 February and from Carrapateena to Roxby Downs in the late afternoon, included over 90 minutes each way on un-sealed roads, to which coaches are not suited. As a consequence, the tour chartered a special off-highway, truck-mounted bus from Port Augusta-based Gulf Getaways, also used by OZ Minerals to service their camp at Carrapateena. In the photo above, the group takes a rest break in the afternoon at the end of the un-sealed road from Carrapateena, before turning onto the sealed Stuart Highway to head north towards Woomera and Roxby Downs, arriving before sunset.   Photograph by Mike Porter.
