Field briefing at Mount Elliott. On arrival at Mount Elliott, the group was met by Mat Brown, Exploration Manager for Ivanhoe Australia, who gave a safety induction, and handed out PPE, before commencing a field briefing on the deposit. After this, the group was shown the scope of the project and some of the exposed sequence. Next they transferred to Ivanhoe's nearby Mount Dore camp for a comprehensive classroom presentation on the setting, geology, alteration and mineralisation of the Selwyn district, concentrating on the Mount Elliott and Merlin deposits in particular.   Photograph by Mike Porter.
