In the pit at Sunrise Dam.   Each team was were driven down into the floor of the pit under close supervision of AngloGold Ashanti staff, to a location removed from the close proximity of heavy machinery and safely away from bench faces. After the geology was pointed out by AngloGold Ashanti geologist Thomas Callanaere (pointing in the left image), each team had the opportunity to study broken ore underfoot from the Sunrise Shear Zone (right image).
