Rosia Montana presentations & wrap-up, Romania. At the end of the visit to Rosia Montana, the tour group delivered three presentations on porphyry and epithermal gold and copper deposits elsewhere in the world at the request of Rosia Montana Gold Corp. (left image). The audience comprised both Rosia Montana staff and other geologists exploring in the Golden Quadrilateral of Romania, a small region that has historically produced over 2000 tonnes of gold. At the end of the session, the group strolled through the historic town of Rosia Montana (upper centre) to the Rosia Montana Club for a barbeque with the presentation attendees (right) allowing the opportunity to network and learn more about other deposits in the Quadrilateral. Subsequently the group returned to our accommodation, the Pensiune Casa Anda at Vadu Motilor (lower centre) for the night, before departing early next morning to drive to Cluj and fly, via Bucharest to Thessaloniki in Greece.
