[Darwin Workshop]
Darwin classroom workshop.   After an early flight from Adelaide to Darwin, 2500 km to the NNW, the group was given a comprehensive half day classroom workshop on the setting, tectonics, geology and metallogeny of uranium mineralisation in northern Australia, including descriptions of key deposits and occurrences across the region.   This workshop was presented by expert geological consultant Andrew Browne of GeoSynthesis Pty Ltd from Brisbane (left inset) supported by Paul Melville (centre inset) of Crossland Uranium Mines Limited in Darwin.   Both Andrew and Paul have a long experience, and have played leading roles in the uranium industry in northern Australia.
