Cloncurry Workshop - Dr Pat Williams of James Cook University (Townsville, Queensland), a renowned expert on IOCG mineralisation, gave a full days workshop, comprising class room presentations, punctuated by field visits.
The workshop covered the tectonic, geologic and metallogenic setting of the Cloncurry district, the distribution and styles of IOCG deposit in the district and descriptions of key occurrences. This was followed by an outline and discussion of the characteristics of IOCG mineralisation.
