In the Mantoverde pits.    Following a comprehensive briefing on the setting, geology, alteration and mineralisation of the Mantoverde group of deposits, the tour group was taken into several of the Mantoverde pits to demonstrate the variation in alteration and mineralisation with depth within the mineralised system of the district.    Our guides included Cristian Astudillo (second from right, facing the camera) and Marcelo Cortes (far left).   Photographs by Mike Porter
