Jiaodong Goldfield Visit  -  The group's visit to the Zhaoyuan district of the Jiaodong Goldfield (in Shandong Province, China) was hosted by the Shandong Zhaojin Group.  The visit involved a meeting with senior company officials and an introductory briefing, a field inspection of the surface expression of mineralisation and the opportunity to study the ore on the stockpile at the major Dayigezhuang gold mine (above centre).  This was followed by a visit to the company's geology display centre where the Deputy General Manager and Chief Geologist, Mr Li Shou Sheng (above right) discussed the geology of the Zhaoyuan district and the setting of each of the company's mines.  The group was then able to handle and closely study large specimens of the different hosts and styles of ore mineralisation and alteration throughout the field and from the different Zhaojin Group mines.
