In the Xiaoqinling Mountains  -  Following the Qinling mine office office briefing, the group was loaded into three 4WD vehicles and taken to the mined area in the steep, mist shrouded Xiaoqinling Mountains, stopping along the way to inspect the exposed host suite and intrusives.  The road, which was shared with ore trucks, wound around the steep slopes and passed through tunnels cutting precipitous spurs.  The group was able to examine outcropping veins that are mined below the surface (lower right).  The opportunity was then presented to inspect the sulphide and oxidised dump retreatment ore in the mill stockpile.
