Qinling Briefing at Lingbao  -  After the Jingchangyu visit on the previous day, the group travelled to Beijing in the late afternoon to fly to Xi'an the same evening where they spent the night before departing early in the morning for the Qinling Mine office at Lingbao in the Xiaoqinling Mountains.  This region, located in north-western Henan Province, central China, lies within a mobile belt overlapping the suture between the North China and Yangtze cratons.  On arrival, the group was welcomed by senior mine management and given a detailed briefing on the operations, setting, geology and mineralisation at the units that make up the Qinling mine operation, the Yangchaiyu, Sifangou and Jindongpen deposits. After the main briefing, the group was able to pore over regional, district and detailed mine plans with mine geologists.
