The Spence Project   -   The group checked out of their Calama hotel and departed at 8:40 am for the drive to the Spense Project office in Calama to start the visit at 9:00 am.   Left: After a briefing on the geology of the deposit, Project Geologist Christian Feddersen (left), led a core inspection session. At 11:35 am, the group then drove 50 km south-west to the decline portal, arriving just after noon.   Right: The portal is developed in leached cap bedrock just below the unconformity with the cover gravels.
