On the Andean Traverse Field Workshop - Stan Godoy of SERNAGEOMIN-Chile took the group on a traverse across the mineralised segment of the Andes from Santiago in the west, up the Maipo Valley to near the Argentine border in the east.
The group had been based out of Santiago for this part of the tour, departing in the early morning and returning in the late afternoon.
