The tour begins in Ulaanbaatar and at Oyu Tolgoi - The tour commenced when the group assembled in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on the afternoon of Sunday 10 October Next morning they took the early (06:30 am) project air charter for the 90 minute flight south to Oyu Tolgoi. On arrival, they were taken to the Exploration camp for a buffet breakfast and safety induction, before being given a detailed briefing by David Crane, Exploration Manager, Mongolia for Oyu Tolgoi LLC, our host. This very comprehensive overview detailed the setting, geology, structure, alteration and mineralisation of the deposits of the Oyu Tolgoi corridor, including Heruga. Next the group was given the opportunity of studying core from a wide selection of representative drill holes demonstrating the hosts, country-rocks, alteration and different styles of mineralisation within the deposits of the project.
