The group had departed Iquique at 6:00 am for the drive to Collahuasi, arriving at the mine gate by 9:30 am. After checking in we continued to the mine camp by10:00 am. The camp was at an altitude of 3800 m, and we were given blood pressure and oxygen saturation tests and a safety induction before the visit commenced at 10:30 am with a presentation.
