ABSTRACT

This paper discusses the influence of political. commercial and economic factors of the viability of copper porphyry and bulk gold projects. Political factors include government policies, social issues and political stability. Commercial factors consider demand and price conditions. Economic factors cover all of the technical and environmental issues which mining professionals are familiar with and which, historically, have been the major focus of Pre-feasibility and Feasibility Studies. The paper will be supported by experience in assessing and developing projects around the world.
